Why you should consider a mid-week Wedding

It seems to be tradition that a Wedding takes place on a Saturday, but have you considered the benefits of having a mid-week Wedding?

1. Price: Many venues, such as The Boat House, have different rates for weekends and weekdays. You are still getting the same, beautiful venue, but the demand for weekdays is less so you are paying less! More money for your honeymoon, perhaps?

2. Guests: We hear you, one of your main concerns is that it’s inconvenient for your guests to take time off work during the week. With most weddings planned 6+ months in advance, your guests have plenty of time to book in their leave at work and enjoy some time off. Plus, if they are travelling to the wedding they are likely going to get a better rate on flights and accommodation mid-week compared to a weekend.

3. Suppliers: The best suppliers are booked up months, sometimes years, in advance. But with a mid-week wedding they are more likely to have availability to make your dream dress or cake, and the price might be less too.

4. The Date: Have you thought about getting married on the anniversary of the day you met, or the day your fiancé popped the question? It’s tricky to book your wedding on a significant date if you are limited to a Saturday, but not with a mid-week wedding.
