The adventurous way to our watering hole, is by water of course!
With our great Riverside location, you can make your way to The Riverhead by boat. If you have your own boat, check out the tide times below to find the best time to book (please ensure you let us know when to expect you, so we can ensure we have space on our jetty for your boat). If you’d rather someone else took the helm, then there are a number of options you can take:
The Red Boats
Enjoy a relaxing cruise to The Riverhead onboard The Riverhead Cruiser. Departing from Westhaven marina in downtown Auckland, The Red Boats operate Public ferry trips every Sunday and other selected dates throughout the year. The Red Boats Riverhead Cruiser is also available for Private Group Charters to the Riverhead from 30 – 90 Passengers @ $35.00 per person
The Riverhead Ferry
Take the Riverhead Ferry for this scenic and historic cruise on the sheltered waters of the upper Waitemata. Follow the path of the early pioneers to The Riverhead and enjoy a great commentary along the way. The Riverhead Ferry departs from Pier 3 (the basin to left of the Old Ferry Building) and operates on demand all year round for private charters (15 to 45 passengers). Public trips operate every second weekend through winter and every weekend for the rest of the year. $35/person. As we reach the entrance of the Riverhead channel a modern RIB will pull alongside the yacht and provide a direct private transfer to your event. Capacity for up to 100 people.
